Because your tan develops over 24 hours and PEAKS at 48-72 hours. That means:

- Thursday tan = Saturday perfection
- Day-of tan = too dark, not fully developed
Then you:
- Go about your day
- Rinse in 8-12 hours (or 2-4 with rapid/clear)
